Windows 7 End of Life and When to Upgrade: (Amor IT Solutions)

Windows 7 End of Life and When to Upgrade. The end of the Windows 7 lifecycle is set for January 2020. “End of life” means Microsoft will discontinue all support, including paid support; and all updates, including security updates. Between now and then, the operating system (OS) is in an in-between phase known as “extended support.” As a result of this news customers need to make a decision on what they want to do before January 2020.

What does this mean for anyone running Windows 7? Basically it’s time to upgrade your operating system or think about buying a newer computer with Windows 10.

Whether you are a consumer or business owner you do not want to be the one that has to find out the hard way that your computer has become infected due to the fact that you waited until after January 2020 to replace or upgrade your computer. As stated Microsoft will not be putting out any windows updates past January 2020.

We have had some customers contacting us asking why they are seeing pop up notifications saying that support for windows 7 is about to expire. We have been letting them know that they only have a few months of support. Many of them asking what should I do?

We are letting all of our customers know that a good time to upgrade would be this fall. If  you are wanting to upgrade to windows 10 or need advise on a new computer. Please contact Amor IT Solutions.
